A word about companies, bosses, managers, workplace affairs and immoral behavior.

Some people would make the following statement “if you do not like it then there is the door” who are these people?

Every employee has a duty over their employer and their fellow workers if they break any of the rules that are expected to follow then they are in the mercy of their employer.

But also

All the companies have a responsibility, a duty of care over all their employees and their families, when a person goes to work their family expects them to return in one piece physical and mentally

They also

Expect when their loved ones are at work that their boss or their manager is not acting in an inappropriate manner or their loved ones are not exposed to any potential immoral behavior (targeted to them or not).

I do not believe there is a single person in the world that does not look for a job that they can get treated fairly and with respect and when the time comes after years of hard efforts  to be rewarded. I also believe everybody wants that extra bit too,  feeling secure after so many years with the same company and I do not think there is any person in the world that will agree to lose everything because a new manager behaves unethical and unprofessional.

Now imagine you are working for a company for the last 5-10 years and you have proven that you are there for life and not a passing by staff. You worked hard to get where you are, you always felt proud for all the achievements that the company had as you knew you were part of that team and you were proud of your hard work that contributed to this success but you also felt the bad times that the company might had on some occasions,  you had proven your loyalty  by not turning your back every time they needed you.

Now imagine you get a new manager and you notice some issues with his integrity and most alarming you notice that the only staff he is approachable and friendly is young female staff which some of them are also new in the company, slowly you start noticing patterns of favoritism, you can see your manager would do anything to accommodate his female friends even if he has to take away from you, nothing would stop him.

So what do you do, you been there for so long while the other staff that just walked in are reaping your hard work while your working conditions are changing for the worse not because the company are seen bad times once again but because a manager operates under his own personal immoral motives.

If you ask the staff that are reaping the benefits without a drop of sweat they will say the above comment “if you do not like it, then there is the door”, if you ask the manager he will say the same thing too and if you go to your boss his comment will be “are you accusing the company of discriminating you?”

Does that sound familiar? Did this ever happened to you? You make a complaint and instead of the company investigating the first thing that they do is to accuse you that you are trying to slander the company with your complains, is that a technique that they use to intimidate and spread fear? Did you ever approach the management about issues that you believed they were serious but at the end you felt worse and totally powerless than before you spoke to the company about it?
