GoDaddy May Face Class Action Over Nickel-and-Diming Employees
Does the below claims sounds like NPT?
Several tech specialists are telling GoDaddy where to go — in legal terms — for policies they claim cheated them out of compensation. Among other things, they had to work through lunch breaks, arrive early to set up their stations, and stay late to conclude calls — all without pay, according to the complaint. They’re seeking class-action status, which could add thousands to the suit. – See more at:http://www.ecommercetimes.com/story/76907.html#sthash.r9HPnBgY.s4mDKDKA.dpuf
A very familiar story of NPT
Forced to start work 15 minutes early without getting paid.
Constantly forced to work through our lunch time to transport patients that are waiting and if we refuse or try to claim that lousy “Nickel-and-Dime” late meal allowance we all know that we are exposing ourselves to future harassment and discrimination (having every step of ours monitored so they can get the excuse to tell us off; treated like a second class employee by missing out overtime; having our roster changed to any shifts they like; missing opportunities that the company offers.
Forced to speed between jobs or while driving back to the branch at the end of our shift, in case NPT management tries to claim that it took us too long and cut our pay by claiming unreasonable travel time
We, the staff have always been treated like the dishonest people and the bad people of the company NOT THE MANAGEMENT NOT THE TEAM LEADERS NOT THEIR PETS and if you are one of the staff that cannot stand up for them shelf or you feel there is too much to lose if you speak up then, you are always at the bottom of the pyramid, you are the dishonest and incompetent employee.
This is NPT and this is our life in NPT, and the only people that will disagree other than NPT management are the management’s PETS or the one that are hopping to be the future PETS.
What would Jeannie say?
“You are right, It is not fair that the management would not help you swap your shifts so you can attend your school placements but instead tell you, if you cannot manage to swap your shifts, it is your problem if you miss your placements” (it is no like they never helped her keep a full time roster that involved around her full time studies, especially when prior to that she was not even a long time employee)
Or
Would Jeannie say “if you do not like it, leave” Is it possible for Jeannie to be wrong with whatever answer she gives? Her working conditions in NPT is been an unreachable dream for most of the employees (and I am talking about the ones that been there for a long time and have worked very hard but achieved A BIG NOTHING, all because of the way NPT runs. There is no respect for their staff as employees are not seen as employees by management but as a PERSONAL preference that is unrelated to work ethics.
